"GETTING STARTED"

You know, my first robot is build using sonar range finder that act as an "eye" for the robot. Well, yeah, thas true..there are lots of sensor that can be used as sensor for the robot to be autonomous.Since, only that sensor left in my drawer,i just use it.huhu.. well, look at video below, this is my second robot that i build to compete in robot competition last 2 years..hmm,looks like it still not good enough.RigHt?

"LINE FOLLOWING ROBOT"

When I’m alone and think about to build a robot, I wonder what type of robot that can easily build and at the same time inexpensive. When I was in university, I was told by my friend that I can make a book of robots if I gathered all of the items in my bedroom. He was true and today I’m thinking that what he said is yet true. I learned from my studies and experience that most of students hardly find their sources to build their robot even the simple robot. They talked about machine that they hope they could build them one day future. How do they start to build? Basically, the main idea in this book is to help people to build their own simple robot using common material that can be easily found around them. They didn’t have to go further to other country to search for the robot components such as sensors, actuators and so on. The fact is, to build a simple robot; the material also must be simple. Robotics is a unique area of studies and it contains of many disciplines of studies such as, electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer science and software IT. The line following robot is popular project among robotic fans as the starting platform into the world of robotics. Start from the idea until it finished, this makes building robots so interesting and fun. I hope that this BLOG can gives you ideas in starting your own line following robot and inspires you to build your own intelligent machines later.
